#Latepost: I Got Spoiled, My Birthday Treat

19 March 2018 - No Comments

If I’m honest with you, I’m a little embarrassed to only post this now because this was my birthday last August #haha. I didn’t actually forget but more like thought about it for a long time if I should; if I really need to tell the world about what I did for my birthday?! THEN I realized I had a better reason to share this because this was the 10th birthday I celebrated with my hubby and that’s a big deal! Not so much that I turned 34… #sadface

On this special occasion ;) he surprised me with brunch at the loveliest French brasserie The Wallace Restaurant (amazing spot for photography/blogging) set in the Gallery! With such perfect lighting, the food looked and tasted even better! My usual two choices of meals are either seafood or meat but rarely fish! And I chose cod filet (with mussels :) while hubby went for lamb cutlets on a bed of healthy salad…om nom nom I’m telling ya! When it comes to dessert I’m usually very very picky because I don’t like things that are too sweet. I do love carrot or cheese cake though and that’s what we had, with a scoop of raspberry sorbet.

We spent a good 1 1/2 hours at the restaurant munching all the goodness. As dinner was only a few hours away, we had to make sure to digest our big bellies by spending time at the Gallery and shopping on Oxford Street. This surely worked because by 6:30pm we were ready for Hakkasan in Mayfair. We ordered a number of dishes but I can only remember like three (Wagyu beef, salt & pepper squid, prawn curry…) because I’m getting old :D. It was too dark to take pictures or maybe I was already tipsy while having starters.

Here are some pictures for you! See you soon xxx
