Wedding Ready But I Couldn’t Find My Sari

23 January 2018 - No Comments

For someone that loves and always looks forward to wearing saris to Indian weddings, I was pretty unorganized this time…sigh…

My hubby and I along with my sister and a friend attended Anisha & James’ wedding last summer. It was the second time I’ve been to Newland Manor Wedding Venue, which was huge, about an hour from London. The setting was beautiful and again, so spacious! There were plenty of opportunities to take pictures, and with a beautiful backdrop like that who could resist. If you’ve been reading my blog or follow me on Instagram, you probably know by now that all I ever do is have pictures taken ;)

I wore a really simple and inexpensive lace dress that I snatched from Hollister in the sale (They sell such thing? Yep!). And since I bought my first pair of Valentino Rockstud, I couldn’t not wear them again but I promise not to neglect my other shoes this year.

As for my sister, who didn’t know how to wrap a sari herself, I spent about an hour trying to do it after watching YouTube tutorials. We managed and it didn’t fall off! Problem was, she didn’t have a petticoat! Silly girl!

If you haven’t noticed already, I chopped off my hair as well and toned it lavender / light purple. It wasn’t really a toner as I used Maria Nila Color Pop pink & black hair mask to create the color. As it’s a hair mask that conditions your hair, it was totally non-damaging and left my hair super silky, healthy and smooth.

Enjoy the pictures xxxx
